Skipsea Village Hall is available to hire for events, parties and classes. The main hall is large and has a stage and there is also a smaller seminar room which can hold approximately 20 people in a meeting room format, or can accomodate small groups at tables.

As many of you will have seen from the newsletter, the Village Hall is nearing completion. Installation of the toilets is almost complete and the joiner will be here to install cubicles, skirting boards and internal doors. The kitchen equuipment is also being fitted and the car park is being surfaced.
The pond has been fenced off for safety and will be overlooked by the rear patio - a nice sunny place to sit and relax outside.

Another month has passed and there are a lot of visible changes both outside and inside. The scaffolding has been removed and the building can be clearly seen. Plastering has finished and painting has begun. The main hall floor has been laid and light fittings are being installed.
With approximately six weeks left to go, the kitchen equipment has been ordered and final decisions are being made on tables, chairs, curtains, etc.

The Parish Council has now applied for planning permission for change of use from a community building to a private dwelling.
You can see the plans and get further information from the ERYC website www.eastriding.gov.uk then going to the planning applications section
***UPDATE****
Planning permissiion has been granted.

There is still a lot of administrative work going on behind the scenes, too. Thank you to all of you for your dedication and committment. You know who you are!

The weather has been good for the past two weeks and progress has been rapid, as I'm sure you have noticed. The walls are growing fast and it won't be too long before scaffolding goes up and the roof timbers arrive.
